MiNI TRAINING👩‍🏫

Create your opt-in page with Mailerlite

Module 1: Introduction and setup

Module 1 Objectives:

1. How to sign up with Mailerlite

    1. Visit Mailerlite.com
    2. Verify your email
    3. Complete your profile information (e.g. domain, address, etc)

2. Authenticate your domain

This step is very important! If you don’t authenticate your domain, it’s VERY likely that your emails end up in the spam box. Who would like that?

So, go to account settings, then Domains.

You would need to click on “Authenticate” as seen above.

Then, you would need to go to your DNS Zone and create the two records that Mailerlite asks you to do. A C Name record and a TXT record. It may sound a bit complicated, but trust me, it’s not. There’s also a tutorial here on how to do it.

It can take the servers up to 24 hours to completely update this information. Most of the time, however, it is approved and updated in a matter of minutes, as it was the case with mine (about 5 minutes).

Likewise, a few hours before an account manager on Mailerlite manually approves your account. This ensure that their servers maintain their reputation and spammers stay away.

Note: You can explore the Mailerlite platform, but cannot send emails and published forms or websites until your account has been verifie In the meantime, you can start working on your lead magnet and create the forms.

3. Introduction to Mailerlite’s Dashboard

Upon logging into your Mailerlite account, you will be directed to your dashboard. This page provides a summary of your account’s activity for your perusal. Initially, you will be presented with statistics from your latest campaign, comprising the recipient count as well as open, click, and CTOR (Click to Open Rate) rates. Furthermore, you can click on “View report” to access a comprehensive report on the campaign.

Watch the video below to watch a walk-through the Mailerlite’s dashboard.

You’re ready to go! 💃

Now that your Mailerlite account is created and authenticated, we are ready to jump into the nitty gritty and develop your very own landing page.
